Wrong Body Language that can hamper your personality

Body language is the most important aspect of dealing with others. Maintaining a good body language with others, especially with someone whom we have just met, shows our interest towards them. But an improper body language can send a wrong signal or a wrong impression to other people. So it is important to have the right kind of body language while talking to others.

Here are some wrong body languages that you should avoid

Don't gaze around

Maintaining good eye contact shows respect and interest in what they have to say. Never look away from your audience or don't gaze down or look outside. A good eye contact can help you to connect with people and moreover it can enhance the trustworthiness.

Don't display bad posture

Always be careful about your posture, for example be careful about the way you stand, seat, and walk. Your posture can define your personality. The position or the movement of your hands, head and legs can actually tells what is running in your mind.

Don't use fillers

Speak clearly and avoid the fillers like 'you know' 'hmm' etc. When you are giving a speech make sure you don't use such words and give your speech loudly and properly, don't blabber.

Don't look messy

You should always look neat and clean, and not unorganized. You should dress according to the occasion like for interview; you should get ready in a different way, similarly for a business meeting you should dress up in accordance with the demand of the occasion. At the time of presentation, be prepared and don't get confused.

Don't clasp your hands

Avoid playing with your fingers or hands, it may distract the audience. Fidgeting with your hands can be distracting for others. Do not clap, knuckle crunch until and unless you are pointing out something in your presentation or making a big movement. Try to keep your hands by your side.

Don't roll your eyes

Avoid rolling your eyes especially when you are in an interview. It will show how impatient you are. Make sure you don't distract the opposite person and make a direct eye contact with him.
