Are you afraid of the boss who is terrible to tolerate? Are you quitting the job just because of him or her, as you are not in a stage of tolerating his or her horrible attitude? Then why don’t you stay back and give a deep thought before quitting the job? Before taking any decision regarding your professional life, you need to always think once to avoid feeling bad of taking a sudden decision that has hurt you career badly in the future. So, just because you are not able to tolerate your boss’s horrific attitude, why not take valuable and needed steps to manage his or her attitude at the workplace.
1. Your Boss Might Be Waiting For a Chance to Scold You:
If you are one among the hated person on your boss’s hate list, then for sure he or she might be waiting for situation to scold you and hurt your image in front of everyone. So, at this point of time, it is your responsibility to avoid giving him a single chance of bringing down image in front of everyone. So, as a productive employee, you need to have a note of every business discussion with your boss and keep updating it to your boss frequently, so that they shouldn’t blame you at any point of time.
2. You Are Not Able to Understand What He or She talks:
Many employers have the problem of proper communication with their employees. It is not known whether they do it purposefully or not, but this can be a nightmare for the employees as the boss might question about what they had discussed with the employees and ask them to give details of it. So, to avoid such things to happen between you and your boss, explore a person who is able to understand your boss’s strange dialect and ask them to brief what your boss said in the meeting until you get to know and master the exact point of what your boss said. Person who communicates with the boss quite often can be the best choice to brief you what your boss said.
3. Is your boss biased:
If your boss is a worst boss you have seen, then he or she being biased is expected. Almost all the bosses in this world will be having few favorite employees and they stand in favor of them in any difficult situation. This can be termed as a good relation between the boss and the employee, but it definitely doesn’t look good when the boss ignores rest of the employees. If the boss supports and likes the job of his favorite employees and ignore other employees hard work, he or she can be clearly termed as a biased boss. So, if your boss is being biased towards you, then try to build a good relationship with them by showing your good work and try to attract them towards your hard work and prove them how you can contribute to the progress of the company.
4. Your Boss might be losing his or her power:
If you’re bad boss losing his or her power, instead of experiencing a sign of relief, try to make it as an advantage and look through the progressive way. It is true that being loyal to your boss is a very good idea, but if he or she is expected to resign from his or her position, you can look out for an excellent chance of getting promoted. So, make sure you work hard in accordance to get yourself placed in the highest position in your professional life.
5. Your Boss might be the obstacle against your promotion:
If you have a worst boss, definitely it is expected that he or she might be a big obstacle for your promotion. So, at this point of time, what you need to do is to learn from your own work and believe in yourself without stopping in the middle of your progress. If you are restricted from progressing by your boss, then you are suppose to learn from your each stop or obstacle than feeling upset and hindered. If you still think these things are not working at any cost, then you can take the decision of getting out from that company to look for a better opportunity in the job market. But before taking such a decision, you need to take a strong and valuable decision whether to get out of that company or stay back and face it no matter how strong the obstacle is, till you attain success.
6. Don’t take your boss’s negative words personally:
If you want to succeed in your professional life, then even if you find it difficult to not take those negative words of your boss personally, you need to try not taking it personally at any cost, because at the end it is you who will be affected by those bad memories. It doesn’t mean that are suppose to tolerate everything, it is up to you to make sure that you haven’t left any chance to him or her to pin point your mistakes. So, make sure the job you do is done correctly and you need to be confident on what you have done.
7. You need to speak up:
People believe that silence is the golden word for any situation as it has the capacity to bring back the normal situation in any difficult times. But it is totally opposite in the case of the workplace, because unless and until you speak up especially if there is a false allegation on you by your boss or your co-worker. Try and take the lead role if you have been accused for the mistake that you have never done. If you don’t take the lead role, then people will take you for granted and tag you as the problem creator and you will be responsible for the mistake you never did. If you won’t speak up at the right time, you will be made responsible for the mistake without any reason.
8. Your boss might even replace you by hiring one:
If at all you come to know that your boss is trying to replace you by hiring someone, then make sure your boss doesn’t know that you know about it and try find out how many of them are applying for that post. If you come across a long line queuing up day by day, then before you are asked to leave the job, try to put yourself in the safer side by approaching other heads at the office. It will be better, if you start impressing your boss’s boss with your good work as it can help you for some extent to be in the safer side.
9. Your boss might take your credit of working hard or he might credit someone else for your hard work:
Is your boss crediting someone else for your ideas and hard work? Or Is he or she taking all the credits for himself or herself for your hard work? If you are facing any similar circumstances that make sure you send your boss a mail every time you come across any good idea before someone else just steals it from you. At the same time, it is your duty to guard your ideas while it is still in the progressing stage without discussing it with any of your co-worker till the entire work is done.
10. Your boss might need constant appreciation:
If you think that your boss likes to be praised every time by his or her employees, tell those appreciative words to your boss if there is no harm in telling. If you think your job will survive till your boss is in a friendly relationship with you in spite of being the worst boss in the entire company. Thank them for supporting you with the project, if they give you an idea; thank them even if you don’t like that idea.
So, if you be in good connection with your boss even if he or she is the worst one to tolerate in the entire company, you can survive in your job and achieve what you want.
