Technologies That Got Trashed and Why?

The world has always been a brutal place for technologies that do not match its expectations. Though companies try hard to make their product as luring as possible, not everything that reaches the market stays there for long. People do not mind throwing expensive buys into the trash-can the moment something better catches their eyes.

Many technologies have heard cheers turning into boo within months, many have faced spiteful scrutiny within days of launch and some were just insignificant enough to be remembered. Let’s take a look at five such technologies that we won’t put the money down for.

Reason for Failure: You could walk faster than this

Shelling out $5000 for personal transporter that makes you look awkward in crowd is not a done-deal. Considered to be every geek’s fantasy, personal mobility devices did quiet well in 2007. In spite of doing good in attracting a small section of the crowd, these devices were not seen in the market anymore. May be people started realizing that there are better options like cars, motor-bikes and bicycles instead of looking like a dork from a  weird sci-fi movie
