Microsoft had tried to make a hit with its updated windows 8.1.But does that really make Microsoft to compete with its rivals is what we should witness by 2014. The real revolution will be on 3D Printing supply chain in 2014 that can lead to a manufacturing renaissance ahead. Local players are anticipated to have a battle with global ones in the e -commerce market. China is all ready to climb the ladder to success in 2014, with local players such as Huawei, Xiaomi, and Alibaba .The biggest tech companies to make  huge profits have made decisions to move on to the production of wearable technologies like glasses, watches  and so on.

Windows Phone, app developers a group of upstarts in the guise of Firefox OS, Jolla, and Samsung with Tizen are looking forward to steal market share from the lower end of the mobile market. Similar to 2013 even 2014 is expected to see many big enterprises selling and buying communication companies. E-Plus in Germany, Virgin Media in the UK and O2 in the Czech Republic were among those who are seeking for new owners. In this new year on the network side LTE-A is expected to replace LTE after trials kicked off in France,Germany and Uk.  In contrary to the collapse of Nokia’s handset business, 2014 should witness new breed of mobile gadgets with updated technologies and trends.


Being more efficient and useful, contextual computing will be opted by a lot in the coming year. Contextual computing means with the help of tech tools triangulate data about you from your various digital services, your location, and your history of usage activity and serving it when needed. It can also anticipate your needs. A large number of useful and scary products and services as a result of experimentation on  contextual computing are expected by 2014.
